cazier and J linton of nephi jul juab county joseph morrell of lo 10 gan gau an cache Cou county rity joseph belnap of hooper ic weber county it 11 A crump of fort herriman salt lake co county anty and J A mower lower a of fairview san pete county they left chat chattanooga danoog a tennessee on the dinst with a comp company ny of eighty immigrants seventy of whom were bound for manasseh colorado and the rest for utah there were twenty others to have joined thein them at st louis but they failed to connect and are three days behind in charge of elder J G kimball kimbau all bound for colorado the immigrants were from several of the southern states but mostly from tennessee and mississippi over twenty were cane creek refugees compelled to flee before the murderous of the tennessee labored in north carolina and virginia ginia he baptized personally six souls attended about twenty five other b baptisms and blessed five children lie he traversed on foot miles and rode eight miles on horseback ile he was well weli treated part of the time but mostly otherwise ile he and elder elde r R A robinson went without food three days being refused it repeatedly heatedly peat edly even persons alad and performed other ordinances of the gospel such as the blessing of children etc ile he was subjected to considerable opposition having been forced to leave his lodgings several times in
