another boat came up and they made for it but ant before they could reach it the accessed ac deceased ceased let loose from exhaustion as he had been struggling for a long time he lle gmt apt within bottom ile he could not swim it mas was 1 ats half an hour before the body vas recovered we got g him into our boat and labored with wilh him to get the water out of him by manipulating the body after in the case TERRITORY OF UTAH county of salt lake I 1 j an inquisition holden at tile the residence of james coult in the fifth precinct of salt lake city territory of utah on the loth day of august before george J taylor coroner or ol 1 said county upon the body of joseph henry coult there lying dead by tile tiie jurors whose names are hereunto suu sulu scribed bC nned nied bed tho said jurors upon ther their oaths do say soy that his death was caused by drowning in the lake at calders farm south of salt lake city at about three pm of aug issi isai P 84 and they furtner f ur find tind from add that it appears to have been caused by young youna coults losing his lils balance as he turned to salute his friend leyland in the other boat coults boat being as already said sald a light canoe decked over a very dangerous craft for one not used to foiling leand unable to swim was aas easily ly capsized and on account of its peculiar shape rolled over and over inthe materas water as fast as
