Cut steak in half. Mix butter with stuffing and spread stuffing on one half of steak; cover with remaining steak and skewer edges. Brown in hot fat. Dilute consomme with water and pour over steak. Add olives. Cover and simmer lhi hours. Serve with cooking liquid. servings. Pepper Steak 2 pounds round steak cut 1 inch thick 1 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons salad oil 3 large onions, sliced 4 green peppers, seeded and cut in strips 1 clove garlic, minced Saute onions in 2 tablespoons hot oil in heavy skillet until tender. Remove to plate. Saute peppers and garlic till tender. Do not overcook. Remove to plate. Season steak with salt Saute steak In remaining hot oil until It Is done to your taste. Return onions to skillet, reheat over low flame In fat left in pan. Arrange onions on one end of steak platter and peppers on other. Sait dish to taste.
