The complaint was filed in Third District Court May 9 by four local theater owners; Consolidated Amusement, Inc.; Cinema Theater, Inc.; Basil Floor, and A.G. Floor. The complaint, alleging the ordinance violates the U.S. and Utah Constitutions, was prepared by attorney Gerald H. Kinghom. Once the complaint was filed, the city had 20 days in which to respond, or face a default judgement. The theater owners maintain their business licenses are in immediate jeopardy by the provisions of the ordinance. Those provisions allow the city to suspend or revoke the license of movie operaters who violate the ordinance. The ordinance was enacted in August, 1972, and first questioned in March, 1973, when the city pornography advisory council found Basil Floor to be in violation. -- SEE OTHER GOLD PRICES BELOW U.S. HALF CENTS 1793 1796 & Up $60.00 & Up $3.00 & Up Olliers 1909S $2.00 1914S-15S-26- & Up U.S. 3c PIECES 1851 thru 1889 $1.00 & Up U.S. V4 DIMES 1794... & & & & & & $45.00 $20.00 $45.00 $200.00 $20.00 $1.00 1795. 1796 1802 1797 thru 1805 Others A more pleasant environment BRIGHAM CITY eventually and $200 right now are the rewards to the Wasatch Literary Club of Salt Lake City for its publicspiritedness.
