Show I ? Church Calls 5 To Preside Over Missions Five more mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency to serve in areas throughout the world. Those called, their field of labor, and those whom they succeed are: Pres. C. Russell Hansen, Syracuse, Utah, in a mission to be announced. Pres. R. Donald Livingstone, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, England South Mission, succeeding Wallace G. Bennett. Pres. Glenn E. Nielson, Cody, Wyo., Dclaware-Maryland Mission, succeeding Pres. Edward E. Drury Jr. Pres. Sidney d F. Sager, Angleur, Belgium, Mission, succeeds Pres. Charles A. Didier. Pres. Robert V. Stevens, Salt Lake City, Spain Mission, succeeds Pres. R. Raymond Barnes. Hansen, president of Davis North (Utah) Stake for the past seven years, is an owner with his father and three brothers in a lumber firm and a development company. He was born in Syracuse, Utah, Nov. II, 1917, a son of Clyde W. and Hannah Cook Hansen. He attended Weber College ir. northern Utah for two years, and was a pilot in the Air Force during World War II. He married Doris Clark of Clearfield, Utah in the Salt Lake Temple Feb. 12, 1942, and they have six children. He has served as a missionary and bishop. He is welfare leader in the Kaysville Area. Mrs. Hansen was born in Clearfield, Utah, Feb. 10, 1924, a daughter of Joseph A. and Lettie Grace Warren Clark. At present she is a teacher in the ward Junior Sunday School. She has served as a teacher in the auxiliaries, and as a counselor in the ward Primary. R. DONALD LIVINGSTONE succeed' will Pres. Livingstone Pres. Wallace G. Bennett as president of the England South Mission, headquartered in Surrey, England. Pres. Livingstone was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada in 1917, a son of 6 - CHURCH Robert and Amy May Livingstone. He was graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in mining engineering, specializing in coal. He is presently general manager of Lethbridge Collieries Ltd. He has been in the church since 1951, and has served in various capacities, including elders' president, bishop, and for 12 years as a counselor in the stake presidency. At present he is a temple officiator. He married Merne Laycock in 1941, and they have three sons and one daughter. He is active in community and civic affairs. Mrs. Livingstone was born to George E. and Fern Redd Laycock. She has served in the auxiliaries of the church, and at present is president of the ward Relief Society. She also is a temple worker. GLENN E. NIELSON Pres. Nielson, whose announcement of his call was announced previously, will preside over the Delaware-Marylan- d Mission, succeeding Pres. Edward E. Drury Jr. The biography of Mrs. Nielson was not carried in the previous announcement. She was bom in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Edward J. and Mary Ann Wood. Her father was president of the Alberta Stake for 39 years, and for 25 of those years, also was president of the Cardston Temple. She trained as a teacner at the Alberta Normal School, now a branch of the University of Alberta at Calgary. She WEEK ENDING APRIL 28, 1973 Missions Told For Presidents Fields of labor where recently called mission presidents will serve, and the present leaders they will succeed, were announced this week by the Missionary Committee of the church. The new mission presidents, the mission over which they will preside, and whom they succeed are: Hugh W. Pinnock, Pennsylvania Mission, George M. Baker. Robert P. Thorn, South Africa Mission, Harlan W. Clark. Lynn Sorensen, Brazil South Mission, 0. Nelson Baker Jr. Arnold R. Knapp, England Southwest N. John Mission, Madsen. Raymond E. Beckham, Mission, Nelo Albcrta-Saskatchewa- n E. Rhoton. Robert B. Arnold, Guatemala-E- l Salvador Mission, Harvey S. Glade. Graham W. Doxcy, Kansas-MissouJ. Mission, Stuart McMaster. ri has had many positions of responsibility in both church and civic affairs. SIDNEY F. SAGER Pres. Sager, Belgium, France-Switzerlan- d has who resides in Angleur, been assigned to the Mission, headquar tered in Geneva, Switzerland. He will succeed Pres. Charles A. Didier. Pres. Sager is a native of Alpine, Utah, and is a graduate of the University of Utah. He was born Nov. 14, 1934 to Ferren N. and Zora N. Ilcaley Sager. , He married Anita Secretin of Belgium in the Salt Lake Temple. They have three children. He has served as a second counselor in the France-BelgiuMission, and at of is Mission a Representative present Sevthe Twelve and First Council of the enty. He is distributor and director of Sales in Liege, Belgium and Luxembourg. Mrs. Sager was born in Seraing Oct. to Alexandre and Simone 19, 1937, Renard Secretin. She attended business varicollege in Liege. She has taught in served has ous auxiliaries of the church, as ward Relief Society president, Mission Primary president, and at present is in the Mission Relief Society presidency. Raymond Barnes in the Spain MiS' He sion, is a certified public accountant. is a partner in a Salt Lake CPA firm, and vice president of Stevens Ilenager College in Salt Lake City. He was born in Portland, Ore., Dec, Mar 29, 1927, a son of Irvin Wells and his received tha Robinson Stevens. He B.A. from the University of Utar degree o and his MBA from the University Michigan.
