Granted there may be some dishonest and brutal police officers in the country and jails that might become deathhous-es- , but a whole hour playing up such lawmen and situations could be misleading.. The Mannix episode the o.her night told the story of two sheriffs deputies who took heavy bribes from a wealthy businessman to clear his son of a murder charge. The deputies even had Mannix thrown in jail, denied all his Constitutional rights and ' then had a bully try to kill he him because sought to determine the truth. You hated the officers. The fourth segment of his unique series will be telecast on Ch. 2 at 9 p.m. Tuesday. The channel has promised it will not be cut this week as happened to the third episode a couple of weeks ago.
