Most h aud schemes are perpetrated by women against other women, usually senior citizens. In an effort to thwart such schemes, FBI special agents Harry V. Jones and John W. Crofts are conducting seminars to acquaint senior citizens with some of the more common confidence schemes. These seminars are part of the FBIs crime resistance program. Clark F. Brown, special agent in charge, said the bureau can no longer remain an agency. Here are some of the more common con games. The woman returns in a few minutes and reports they can keep the money, provided they can show they have enough money to live without the findings. The victim is induced to withdraw some good faith money, which the swindler takes to her employer for safe keeping. Its the last the elderly victim sees of her money.
