By HOWARD PEARSON Deseret News Television Editor Osmond Brothers will star on three television specials, one of which could lead to a regular series. high-flyin- g Certain magazines and newspaper supplements said the series alrpady has been set, but Mrs. George (Olive) Osmpnd, mother of the talented group, declares nothing has been signed yet. She said the first special, scheduled for Dec. 5 on CBS (Ch. 5) would be in the nature cf a pilot (sample) for the series. The first special will star the Osmonds and have Dinah Shore, George Bums and perhaps Bette Davis, as well as others, in cameo roles. They also have Chevrolet specials on ABC (Ch. 4) Jan. 9 and Feb. 2.. Commercials, too, are on their schedule. They are working on one in Denver now and will be going to Japan to work on another. In Japan, one of their records has climbed into the top 10 from 45th place, and they plan on doing a special Christmas album for the Japanese 'ad. In addition, their picture will dominate an area of the famous Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, where a large billboard will publicize the Utah boys who have been playing in Las Vegas night spots and appearing at fairs and on television programs with regularity. "I snapped it off last night The demand for the and the screen kept getting Osmond Brothers, according smaller and smaller, and to word in the industry, has FINALLY. . . ." become so great that they even had to turn down a Kraft Music Hall special because they had already contracted for other specials and producers schedule these with at least three weeks between each one. They recently hired a new publicity agent, Bill Sammeth, and stories about the Osmonds have been appearing in 15 teen magazines. (rerun). 6:30 7:00 4 Make Room for Grandaddv.
