But its a good bet tnat the productions wouldnt come off as smoothly without the help of the stage crew. How about if we give a round of applause for the young men who start working months before a production is to be presented to make certain time that when curtain arrives everything is ready to go? The stage crew heads for perfection when it comes to matching the set design as executed by one of the school artists. Making scenery is only part of crew members tasks. During rehearsals they are on hand to practice lighting while the cast is practicing lines. They practice speed and the minimum of noise in changing scenery. Granite Highs stage crew has been working with the cast and designers since July to perfect cues, lighting anu all stage props. During the final week of production, they will spend about three hours a night with the cast ironing out difficulties which may make or break the musical, My Fair which Granite is getLady, ting ready for Nov. 22. In addition to the for their work, Granite crew members receive one semester credit. Stage manager, Brian Johnson is the only one who wont because there is a limit to the amount of credit given and he has long surpassed that.
