For students planning a college education, the Utah Coordinating Council of Higher Education offers these tips: Do you want to go to a near or away from home? Should you go to a large or small college? Large or small town? Most of these answers will be based on your personal preference; others upon your scholarship or funds. In general, the larger the college and the greater the number of graduate programs, the more difficult it is to get good grades. If you are able to compete, master diverse situations and like crowds, you will do well in a large college. If you like the smaller classes, the slower pace, the The classes are equally difficult in both kinds of colleges the difference is in you and your reaction to what is going on around you.
