The Utes green freshmen decked University of Seattle, Washington, and the Seattle Tennis Team, none figured to win the NCAA, but solid teams nevertheless. Washington was even considered in the excellent category. Perhaps the Utes are to be figured a notch higher than they were relegated in preseason reckonings. Then they were rated fourth behind BIT, Arizona and New Mexico. Utah has also gained a veteran since then, Jim Foulger. Foulger barely entered school, and will need some work before helping the Utes. But it would appear that the Lobo3 better watch the Utes closely. In fact, even the top two favorites could have their troubles if they look upon the Utes too This new recognition now wont exactly make the Utes happy. They have claimed itll be a lucky day if Utah tennis finishes above sixth in a conference. Surprise was their forte. But it wont be now when Utah hosts BYU Friday in Salt Lake City. an- other in the ninth with a sacrifice fly to pace the Yankees past California.
