Ellsworth, president of the Pasadena Stake, reports the recent appointment of Jack Berry McEwan as second counselor in the stakp presidency, succeeding Clifford I. Cummings. Pres. McEwan was bom in Salt City, Jan, 8, 1920. a son of Glen Hardy and Elotse Berry McEwan. He received his B S. and DDS degrees from the University of Southern California after serving in ' World War II as a bomber pilot He has been an active Church worker having ' served in many leadership positions, and as the first bishop of the West Arcadia Ward in die Pasadena Stake. His wife is the former Betty Jean Clark, whom he married in the Salt Lake Temple Aug. 17, 1948. They have three sons.
