the topic of discussion for a confrontation between Logan and USU business officials Prompted by action from a group of local merchants W Boyd Christensen USU business vice president held a Wednesday afternoon meeting to give merchants the opportunity to air legitimate grievances The University officials appeared better prepared The merchants were showed two legitimate areas of complaint— the use of the University computer by downtown interests and a student using flowers for a funeral wreath for his father USU is currently trying to free its computer from use as other resources become available in the valley Christensen was careful to explain the University's obligation to its students to provide the services needed for daily operation of the University He said the operations that could possibly be in competition with downtown interests were not tax supported Paul Harris representing a group of local merchants said that USU is unfairly competing with the downtown stores He said
