circumstances under which we meet to hold the eleventh exhibition hibi tion of the deseret agricultural and manufacturing society we witness around us on every hand evidences of an abundant harvest oneff one of the tile choicest blessings a beneficent creator can vouchsafe to the children of men importance OF agriculture it is is generally conceded that sue successful agriculture underlies the prosperity pro peri of the state it is the recognized spring and bourge bourse of all other industries its importance is paramount scientists tell us that every muscular effort as well as every intellectual one consumes the tissue of the human organism in proportion pio portion to its intensity As a natural sequence then the tho nood food that is daily consumed is absolutely needed to keep
