by Phi Delta Pi national women's physical education fraternity with Marguerite Clarke in charge More than 750 students and towns people attended the dance contest Popularity honoi’s were awarded to Kappa Delta for first and to the Challengers and to Chi Omega who tied for second positions The dance contest which included folk social character and creative dancing was given to Challengers for first Kappa Delta and Chi Omega tied for second and Alpha Chi Omega won third The team honors were awarded to the team having the greatest percentage of the members in attendance First place was won by Alpha Chi Omega second by Theta Upsilon and third place by Kappa Delta Marriages Announced An announcement of interest to a great many students is that of the marriage of Mis Afton Nielsen daughter of Commissioner and Mrs Leo C Nielsen of Hyrum to James England son of Mr and Mrs J H England of Logan The marriage was performed in a ceremony at the bride’s home in Hyrum Saturday March 25 Afton has been a prominent member of the freshman class and is affiliated with the Kappa Delta sorority She has acted as band sponsor for the ROTC band Jimmy has been an employee of the Cache and an outstanding the Annual Awards Assembly April 26 The award will be made on the basis of scholarship only and will be offered annually Theta Chi was organized on the Utah State Agricultural college campus May 21 1936 by a group of secretarial science majors who were interested in obtaining a broader and more intelligent understanding of the duties and opportunities of girls entering the secre-tarfield
