The New York clergyman arrived in Salt Lake City, Tuesday, when he conferred with civil rights workers and ministers at the First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Hawkins, a graduate of Union Theological Seminary, was former pastor of the St. Augustine Pres- byterian Church, Bronx, New York. He has represented the church on preaching missions to Puerto Rico and at the inauguration of the independent nation of Nigeria and in a Presbyterian deputation to the Cameroons. See Page 4 for graph. Westminster College has been notified that a $10,000 grant has been allocated by the Methodist Church to be used in financing operations for the 1965-6- 6 school year, E. Dale Peak, Chairman of the Westminster College Development Fund and Manager of Customer Services, United Air Lines, announced today.
