sprouse for the shooting of martin earl at uintah on the of last october his trial commenced at ogden last thursday morning in the probate court before his honor judge F D richards after a careful hearing the jury returned a verdict on saturday night of of murder in the first degree the counsel for the prisoner then made a motion for a new now trial but the arguments adduced being deemed insufficient judge richards yesterday sentenced sprouse to be shot at ogden on the alth of january next the circumstances of the murder are the two men had been gambling ald eba sha a dispute arose
