resolution imposing a special in come duty daty aspros approved ed july 4 1861 provides that there hall ball be levied on the lat of october upon the gains profits or income for the year 1863 of all ail a 1 persona persons residing tiding re in the th united states or of citizens cit izna of the united states residing 11 abroad a duty daty of 5 per cent cant on all sulas sums exceeding it is also provi ned id estimating income for this pu pose HO no d luction shail shall be mule made for dividend dividends or r inte interest rest fest recel ed from any agbo kaso association clation corporation or company cm piny nor shall any deduction be made for auy any a 8 lary received ayed in order to facilitate the assessment of this tax assessors are directed to scrutinize care full the cretu ns na
