Show The Payson Chronicle, May 14, 2003, Page 17 Kevin Charles Porter Obituaries Kevin Charles Porter, age 52, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2003. Kevin was bom on March 17, 195 1 in Payson, Utah, a son of Orval and Gwen Porter. He was a member of The Church of Saints. He enJesus Christ of Latter-Da- y joyed the outdoors and loved to work on old May Taylor Dixon May died peacefully at the home of her daughter, Kathleen Horspool, in Yucaipa, California on May 6th, 2003. She would have been 92 years of age on the 28Ih cars. of May. She was bom in Payson, Utah, and was the last surviving child of Samuel Edward Taylor and Minnie Ann Pickering Taylor. She attended school in Payson and Brigham Young University, where she studied music. She was a gifted pianist, and was a piano teacher in Payson for many years. She rejoiced in the accomplishment of her students. She married Blanchard Dixon in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25 1930. Blanchard preceded her in death in 1995. They are survived by their six children and their spouses: Dennis and Rosemary, Don and Cindy of Payson, Utah; Glenn and Jeri of Blackfoot, Idaho; Blaine and Carol of Modesto, California; Russell and Juliana of Oakland, California; and Kathleen and Ray Horspool of Yucaipa, California. At the time of her death she had twenty-si- x grandchildren and thirty-fou- r Saints all her life May was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y and served as organist in many Stake and Ward positions. She wrote that it was an enjoyable change to be called as the Stake Primary secretary, Ward Gleaner Leader, Laurel Leader and as a Cultural Refinement teacher in the Ward Relief Society. She served a mission with her husband in the Columbia, South Carolina Mission, serving in Glenville, Georgia. They also enjoyed serving as a couple in the Provo Temple for many years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 13, at 1 pm, in the Payson First Ward, LDS Chapel, 225 South 400 East. The family will meet with friends at 1 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Kym (Dennis) Kendrick, Denver, Colorado; a son Kent (Austen) Porter, Rexburg, Idaho. Brother, Lazone (Kathleen) Porter of Salem, Utah, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2003, 1 1 :00 a.m. at Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah where friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
