Show The Payson Chronicle, March 30, 1994, Page 15 Barnett Young Authors Tea The fifth graders in Mrs. Tanner s class have just finished a unit on writing childrens story books. They learned how to write dialogue and opening sentences. They learned o design a book cover and illustrate their stories. Editing skills were also an important art of the process. When the students were finished, they shared their books with the first and second grade classes. Many students won awards during the annual Authors Tea, which was held in the Schools library. The following awards were given for outstanding work: Most Creative, Eric Peterson; Best Illustrator, Blake Quackenbush; Neat-- 0 Award, Jami Davis; Best Author, Hilary Page; Most Humorous, Shana Cady; Best Cartoons, Sheldon Pace; Best Photography, Michelle Le Sueur, Hardest Worker, Ben Wood. It was a very successful experience for all the students. We wish to congratulate them on a job well done.
