Show Karen Page chosen Payson honors students outstanding student Karen Page, a senior at Payson School, was selected to High represent, the high school at an outstanding evening honoring business students. She was honored by Professional Secretaries International on Monday evening, April 20, at the Bungalow in Pleasant Grove. This special was Secretary Honor Night ofWeek Secretaries the part festivities sponsored by the Timp Valley Chapter of PSI, according to Rob Metcalf, CPS of Eagle Marketing and Community Press of Provo. Karen has received honors for her excellence in secretarial skills and is a member of the Payson High School Honor Society. She was selected by the Payson High Business Education Department as a result of her scholastic record, secretarial skills, and human relations abilities. Valerie Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Wilson, was chosen as the Sterling Scholar Representative of Payson High School in the category of Business Education. Valerie competed in the Sterling Scholar competition held at Utah Technical College on March 25, 1981. Valerie has also won recognition and awards in both the Nebo District Commercial Meet and also the Region Six Commercial Meet in 1980 and 1981. Valerie plans to continue her studies in the field of business at Utah Technical College at Orem next year. Sherrie Rasmussen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Rasmussen, was chosen to represent Payson High School in the Sears Executive Womens International Scholarship Competition. Sherrie competed with business students from the high schools in Utah County for this scholarship.
