The production will be under the direction of Charles L Frost, drama teacher at Payson High School. Assisting Mr. Frost is Ruth Ann Gasser and Jena Kester. Youre a Good Man Charlie Brown is a musical comedy compilation of Charles Schultz sketches. It is very entertaining for the entire family. Tickets will be sold at the door. Cast members include Michael Ward - Charlie, Paula Steele Lucy, Varlo Davenport - Schroder, 4 turn professional performers Two years ago, eight housewives got together and started to sing. Their reasons were because they enjoyed singing, and because they sounded good together. They called themselves Chantilly Lace and put their whole hearts -- Utah Shakespearean Festival July 20 10--Au- g. The Utah Shakespearean Festival, started nineteen years ago, is now being performed during July 10 to August 20 on the campus of Southern Utah State College in Cedar City. of The Errors, Comedy Macbeth, Measure for Measure, and Revels of the Queen are the plays that are being presented this summer. Three plays run in nightly rotation beginning at 8:30. Many other features are availMorning Literary seminar, Afternoon Production Seminar, Backstage Tour, Matinee Productions, Orientation and a Green Show, tours and art exhibits are some of the attractions available to the public. There is a baby sitting service available for families with young children. No one under the age of five is allowed in the theatre. Tickets mayh be ordered by mail or phone. Chantilly Lace Ladies Mark McMullin - Linus, Raelyn Dansie - Pattie, Randy Hickman Snoopy. Through his expertise Clark, accompanied by Janice Each of these ladies Lindsay. these ladies have blossomed into a very fine singing group. are outstanding and full of talent. Two of the ladies deserve a special note of praise. At a Chantilly performance last Saturday night at Paysons Firehouse Lace They started singing a little bit of folk and barbershop quartet. Festaurant, Carol Reed was very Now they have progressed to impressive with her beautiful and soft rock, soprano voice. Denise Gollmen easy listening curiosity and trespassing. also was outstanding with her bubbling really personality adding to the groups appearance. Kennie Denise Gollmen, Davis, Mary Christensen, Carol Reed, Kathy Tanner and Rebecca remain. There are six other housewives involved, all still enjoy singing. There is more to this group, however, than just enjoyment. The original tales of Mother Goose before the nursery rhymes were moral tales warning of the dangers of The show they present is indeed professional. From the costumes to the way they handle them- Now the group performs at dinner shows, conventions, parties, etc. I They feel as do, thatthis is only for Chantilly beginning Lace. We look forward to seeing a lot of this talented group. the 5 Hero at Large to show at Payson Huish Theatre This is a fairly tame, lightweight situation comedy that could easily find its way to the tube as Hero at a series some season. like so many Large, TV comedies, isnt particularly funny. It just washes over you and disappears with no harmful after-effect- This s. movie isnt boring, thanks to Star John Ritter, is whose Threes Company a TV series suffering from the same blanditis. Here he plays Steve Nichols, out-o- f work actor looking for a play. In the meantime, hes one of 62 other out-o- f work actors who are shuttled around Manhattan in - an a bus and dropped off in Captain Avenger costumes at neighborhood theatres showing the latest adventures of the fictional hero. One night on the way home he stops into a deli for a quart of milk. In one of the films bes scenes, a young punk tries to hold up the deli. Ritter, with a shout of Mind if I drop in? foils the la a robbery Captain Avernger. Ritter is stunned by the fuss the media makes and he vows to his fight against crime. von-tinu- e is almost Hero at Large totally sustained by John Ritter, who makes this a not unpleasant 98 minutes. The film, rated PG, is suited for the entire family.
