Snelson of Payson, Utah recently enlisted in the United States Army; Sergeant First Gass Pat Dickerson, Commander of the U.S. Army Recruiting Station in announced. The show will comprise three divisions. Division I will be horticulture which will exhibit asters, dahlias, gladiolus, roses, zinnias, all in single specimen, three of a kind, or display; petunias in single, ruffled giant or double ruffled; marigolds in single, three of a kind, display or dwarf; potted plants; tuberous begonias; and geraniums. Division II will be for artistic entries, unusual arrangements, miniatures, small, medium and large arrangements, dried fruit and vegetable arrangements, and theme arrangements. Division III is the Junior section a chance for the kids to shine and win some neat prizes. This is for an arrangement in a toy, small arrangement of garden flowers, and small arrangement of dried plants and seed pods. Come on kids, give it a try! Ribbons and prizes, donated by local merchants and individuals, will be received at the Middle School Sunday, August 31, from 7 to 10 a.m. Judging will be from ten to noon. The flower show will open at 1 p.m. with a robbon cutting ceremony. Many participants from the entire area will insure a beautiful and enjoyable show.
