Spencer has returned from serving in the England Birmingham Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. He is the son of Joe and Nona Spencer. Lynn Elder Spencer will give his homecoming report on Sunday, October 11, 1992, at 10:45 a.m. in the Payson 5th Ward Chapel, 200 South 400 East. Friends and family are invited to visit with Jerald at his home that afternoon from 5 p.m. at 370 South 500 East, 2-- Paysoa Jennifer Turner Receives Mission Call To Russia Jennifer R. Turner has received her mission call to the Russia St. Petersburg Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. She is the daughter of Jon and Claudia Turner. Her grandparents are Glen and Lucille Turner, and G. Wesley and Rena Boyle, all of Springville. Sister Turner will give her farewell address on Sunday, October 11, 1992, at 9:00 a.m. in the Payson 17th Ward, 779 South 700 West, Payson. She will enter the Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, October 14th. Dancing Friends Dance Set For Friday Friends ballroom The Dancing dance group will have their next dance on Friday, October 9th, beginning at 8:45 p.m. at the Eldred Center, 270 West 500 South, Provo. Seven boys from the Payson 18th Ward recently received their Arrow of Light award in a ceremony presided over by Akela. These boys have worked hard and each had earned 18 of the 20 activity badges, woddng on the last two in the remaining two months of their Cub Scout experience. The boys also received a feather, reminding them to go and earn their braves feather (taken from the song, "Go My Son"). This is the highest ranking the boys can earn in Cub Scouts and wear this emblem along with their religious knot mi their Scout uniforms. The seven boys will be graduating to Boy Scouts Blazers in November, with one in October. The Cub Scouts are Derek Tuckett, son of Marvin and Jane Tuckett; Jon David Fullmer, son of Ron and Charlotte Fullmer; Kevin Massey, son of Adrian and Valerie Massey; Tyson Jarrett, smi of Glade and Debbie Jarrett; Shane Pace, son of Brent and Machelle Pace; Curt Madsen, son of Ken and Tamra Madsen; and Brad Jones, son of Robert and Julie Jones. Scouts Receive Timberline Belt Buckle At a recent ceremony at the "Timberline Reunion," four Scouts from the Payson 18th Wad received their Timberiine belt buckle. The Timber-lin- e course is offered to those boys .wiht a desire to gain more leadership qualities and to strengthen the Scouts natural ability. The goal of the y course is, "It is Junior Leadership Training that encompasses to teach the young men the skills and resources necessary to serve as outstanding leaders." The individual Scouts fill out a "contract" to complete three main goals to receive their award. These begin the first part of June and should be completed before the reunion. However, the Scouts who did not complete by that day still can receive the award by completing their goals. In addition to the Scout law, the boys leam 12 points of leadership skills.
