Jesse Smith, Assistant Chief, was also reelected for two years. ar Secretary is Dan Olson with Larry Peterson training officer, and Shane Bott and David Holdaway engineers. Keith Broadhead was elected to the new lifetime position of Hazardous Materials Officer. The Department will hold its annual installation banquet on December 22 at the Family Tree Restaurant at 7 p.m. Chief Broadhead reports that the new addition to the fire station, which will house the new tanker truck as well as providing two stalls for the local EMTs, will be finished in another week or so. The building addition, approximately 25 by 70 feet, was contracted by Paysons Lee Haskell ofLees Lumberland. ' ' '13- '? . ixl&H The old LaRues Market provided the Santaquin Volunteer Fire Department with good practice last Saturday morning. A controlled burn did away with the pile of rubble left from a fire earlier this fall. Santa Will Visit Santaquin Friday , December 22 The Santaquin Jaycees, with help from Santaquin City, will sponsor a special night with Santa Claus this Friday at the new Senior Citizens Center. According to Jaycees President Nan Taylor, Santa will be handing out sacks of candy after a short program presented by local talent. The Jaycees are also involved in their annual program and invite anyone with knowledge of someone who could be helped this Christmas to contact Nan at 754-321- 6 Sub-For-San- or ta 754-524- 6. The Jaycees also held their annual Christmas banquet last week, featuring guests from the State and National levels of the club. Mike Loveless of Santaquin was the happy recipient of the $500 lifetime combination hunting license raffled off by the Santaquin club. Santaquin officers, besides Nan, include Andrew Goudy, Alison Hansen, and Anne Wall.
