Show The Payson Chronicle, December 20, 1989, Page 8 Nebo Shopper, Page 4 Wrestlers Place Second at Viewmont In dual meet The Payson High School Wrestling Team placed second at the Viewmont Tournament last weekend, finishing highest of 3 A schools among such powerhouses as Alta (the champions of the tourney), Viewmont, Box Elder, Pleasant Grove, Clearfield, Davis, Bonneville, Taylorsville, Cedar City, and Layton. Reed Staheli at 140 and Jake Mellen at 130 won championships for the Lions. Johnny Loveless at 1 19 and Sam Ford at 152 won second places. Chris Loveless at 112 and Jake Ray at 135 both took fourth places, and Brandon Limb took a Cpach Brown notes that Jake Rays fourth place at 135 was an exceptional performance. "Jake didnt wrestle last year because of a shoulder injury. But he beat a Pleasant Grove wrestler who placed third at state last year.
