Thats w hat a group of students at Granger high have done as part of their responsible parenthood class One Tuesday morning, every student was issued his or her own egg child, then told to watch over it day and night, to keep it safe from cracking, falling or other disaster. To add to the intrigue, students were told never to leave their baby alone, but that they must hire an eggsitter as if the egg were a live child Through the unique experiment, a number of unusual egg carriers were invented, such as baskets, bassinets and even one small playhouse One of the first eggs to meet its demise was Eggbert, mothered by Diane Schrivner. Little Eggbert was outside helping her mother wash her car on one sunny day and somehow the egg was sat on. Six other egg children were lost in various accidents. Two others were kidnapped for a time, but were recovered. Parents who lost their eggs had a duty to adopt another. The second egg child caused more concern and care than the first, it was noted.
