The bride was a member of the DECA Club and before her graduation from Kearns High. She is employed by Univac. Her husband is a graduate of South High School and is by employed Wycoff Trucking. The bride wore a gown of satin with an overlay of chiffon. Wide lace enchanced the hemline in three tiers flowing to a chapel length train. The soft full skirt fell from an empire waitsline. The sheer sleeves were semifull with wide cuffs edged with lace ruffles. This same wide lace fell from the shoulders down the front of the fitted bodice to form a V at the waistline. A small row of lace enhanced the longer tier of the two tiered waist-lengtbridal veil framing the lovely brides face. A cascading bouquet of pink carnations, baby breath and wine red roses completed her attire. July 22 Plans Made Accepting the marriage proposal of Kent Andrew Williams on the Andy eighteenth of May was Wendy Christine Chris Ashley, young couple are planning a July 22 wedding at Meadow Brook Village. Chris is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ashley, 5035 South 4660 West, Kearns. She will graduate this June from Kearns High School where she has been a member of the DECA Club. She is employed at Buy Ryle Market as a checker. Her fiance is also employed at the Buy Ryte Market in Kearns. Ushers were Steve White, Jack Martinez, Randy Badgett and Bud Badtett. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Mark Henderson returned home from his Austria-Vienn- a LDS Mission, May 11. Before the young man returned he did some genealogy research while and Denmark visiting France. Mark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Artie Henderson, 4367 Annapolis, Granger. Mark graduated from Kearns High in 1971 attended the University of Utah, a music major. While attending Kearns High he was a Award recipient and Madrigals member. He was a member of the Acapella Choir at the University and of the Tabernacle Choir. He gave his return talk May 15 at the Kearns 17th Ward. Kearns Second Ward will be holding a Spring Relief Society dinner. Husbands are invited to accompany their wives to the ham dinner with all the trimmings. The program will be spoofs on television commercials and also MGM related skits. Joy Larsen organized the skits, Diane Jones and committee the dinner, with Donna Peterson and her committee decoration for the event. Roger and Debra Powell are happily announcing the arrival of their second son, Joshua David on Mothers Day. Joshua has a big brother, Justin Michael, age Lane. The dark haired baby boy was born at 11 : 16 a.m. May 8 in the Holy Cross Hospital. He arrived weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces and measuring 19 inches. The two little fellows have two sets of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Powell, Richfield, Utah, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Culbreath, Beleview, SUSAN AND BRENT JORGENSEN make chocolate cupcakes. Sheina, was born May 4 in the LDS Hospital at 10:40 p.m. She was 20 lk inches in length and 8 pounds and 11 ounces in weight. The quilt was made by Miss Carol Cooks fourth grade class. The design was of the schools mascot, a Sky Hawk, red and white. The quilt was tied by the class with Mrs. Dorothy Jerman and Miss Maxine Babalis doing the finishing work on it for the class. Just as the kindergarten students were about to perform their second number, Mr. Gale H Bateman, Principal of the school, called the dancing off due to the rain. The Dance Festival was rescheduled for May 18 during the daytime. May 13 was the birthday table for the month of May. The final Parent-Principmeeting for this school year will be May 26 starting at 7:30 1p.m. Notices of this last meeting will be sent home with students. Kindergarten, first, second and third grade students will have their field day May 27. The fourth, fifth and sixth grade students will have their field day May 31. There will be no school May 30 due to Memorial Day. The first day of June will be the final school gathering with an Awards Assembly. The last day of school for the students will be June 2. Students will only have a half day of school. Summer school will begin June 6 and will go until July 1. Mr. Don Evans will be teaching arts and crafts from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the cost of Fundamentals of reading will begin at 9:35 a.m. and go until 11:05 a.m. The cost for this class is also $5. $5. Group Meet Salt Lake County Fire Auxiliary members met at Penny Wests home March 9 for their monthly meeting. Two paramedics from the Salt Lake County Fire Department; Tom Bogle and Richard Black, showed the ladies their unit and equip- - ment and explained the use of the various of pieces emergency equipment. .
