Show a I Page Valley View News September 17, 1970 6 Utah Mobile Home Show I A e e ti It has taken some renova tion of the Salt Palace, but the most mammoth display items ever to be shown in the building, mobile homes, will be featured at the Intermountain-Uta- h Mobile Home, Travel and Recreational Vehicle Show on Friday, September 25, through Sunday, Sept. 27. The show will be produced by Edward Green band, a man who has over experience in stagingover 200 shows of all types throughout the United States. The staging of this Mobile Home Show wouldnt have been possible without the enlargement of door openings on the west side of the Salt Palace into the Exhibition Hall. The Salt Palace Assembly and Exhibition Halls, containing 130,000 square feet of space, will feature travel trailers, motor homes and mobile homes, mostly the latter in sizes ranging from 10 by et units to the bulky 24 by ticket giving its holder a -chance on the lucky number Children drawing prizes. 13 and under will be admitted free if accompanied by parents. The Grand Prize in the drawing is a 14-in- ch slab saw. SPARKLE In addition to the competitive exhibits, there will be A Time To Sparkle: is the theme of the 1970 Utah Federation of Gem and Mineral Societies Annual Rock Show. It will be held September 25, 26, and 27 in the National Guard Armory, 5189 South State, Murray, Utah. Host for the show is The Mlneralogical Society of Utah. Admission is 50?, with this special displays, lectures and demonstrations, an area for grab bags, a silent auction, and dealers selling a large varity of rocks, minerals, faceted stones, rock-swappin- g, jewelry and mountings. In addition to Utah dealers, there will be shops represented from Tennessee, Idaho, California, Colorado, South Dakota, and Montana. One of the most interesting special exhibits to be shown is a beautiful carving by Utah artist, Lyndon Graham. Mr. Graham has shown his Taj Mahal carving previousHis latest creation is ly. done in white alabaster and depicts Cinderella in all her finery at the Ballroom just before the clock strikes midnight. This carving was one of the featured attractions at the recent California Federation Show. The official opening ceremony of the Show will be at 9:30 a. in. on September 25th. Show hours on the 25th and 26th are 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27th the hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be free camping for self contained units.
