Children ranging in age from 6 to 15 will find themselves caught up in an excitsix weeks of leisure ing time activity. Athletic activities, active and quiet games, dance, drama storytelling, arts and crafts, and many special events are packaged together to provide an unforgetable summer for the kids. All activities are well supervised. A three day, two night camping trip to the Spruces Campground in Big Cottonwood Canyon for the older youngsters will highlight the program. Many classes have had the opportunity of seeing films and either live or recorded lectures by special authorities. A variety of faces and topics have made class hours more interesting and more challenging. Next year, students will have the opportunity of viewing the program of poetry which was undertaken by the advanced drama class to spark up the subject. The program was planned In correlation with the English program and will add variety and understanding to the unit. Mrs. Cowleys drama students have used the facilities g? extensively for In readings, news broadcasttelevision ing, speaking, poetry, stories and other dramatic assignments. Miss Dyrengs freshman speech class has taken advantage of the aspects of the TV system.
