Several members of the Wacan-kiy- a Camp Fire Group, under the direction of Mrs. Kay Reid, guardian, have been taking swimming lessons at the Valley View Country Club. By passing the American Red Cross swimming tests, Camp Fire Girls are awarded swimming emblems which are worn proudly on their suits. Mrs. James Calvins mixed group of Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls packed trail lunches and hiked to Winder Dairy where they toured the dairy. The group also made seed pictures which they entered in the Kearns Green Thumbers Garden Show. Linda Calvin was awarded a blue ribbon and Susan Braithewaite, a red ribbon, with Shari Seberson and Paula Hess proudly receiving yellow ribbons. The Tawasi Aowakiya Jr. High Camp Fire Group sold Forget-M- e Nots for the Disabled American Veterans.
