Show Page 10 Thursday, November 2, 1961 THE VALLEY VIEW NEWS Kearns News October 26, at the Kearns Lanes Cafe, LaMar Rawlings of the Salt Lake Jaycees, presented movies of the National Jaycee Convention held at Atlanta, Ga., and Ferrol Lambert presented movies of the Utah State Jaycee Convention held in Provo. The Jaycees also announce their plans for the beautification of the Kearns Shopping Center on the north-eas- t corner of Kearns will get underway as soon as installation of curbs and gutters is completed. Dont forget the Kearns 12th Ward Relief Society Bazaar will be held tomorrow, Nov. 3, at the Kearns Stake House. A buffet style dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the bazaar at 7:30 p.m. There will be a free movies for the children while their parents will be able to browse in different booths offering a wide variety of articles. There will be a special 10 cent toy sale, rummage and white elephant sale. Bring the whole family. Trinity Methodist The Church Board will meet Friday evening at 8 p.m. at the church. Sunday morning will begin the new schedule of services at Trinity Methodist Church. The first session of Sunday School will begin at 9 a.m. with Mrs. Don Bullard supervising. At 10 a.m. the Worship Service will be held and Rev. Friends message will be on the subject, Gods Enlargement Fro-graAt 11 a.m. the second session of Sunday School will convene under the direction of Mrs. L. B. Friend. The Junior and Senior High Fellowships meet each Sunday evening at 6 p.m. at the church. Mr. Carl Dietzel is superintendent of this unit. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Layton are sponsors for the junior high group and Mrs. Carl Dietzel is the senior high superintendent. m. However, more talent of ages, is needed for the Roadshow. There is no financial compensation for this. The rewards are publicity and personal satisfaction gained from the presentation of such a program to others. The Jaycee-ette- s are planning to sell Christmas cards and novelties this year. The proceeds for the sale will be used to send a girl to Girls State in 1962. To orient new member in the club, Kay Harward will present her contest-winnin- g speech, The Role of a Jaycee Wife, at the next Wedmeeting of the Jaycee-ettes- , nesday, Nov. 8. at 9 a.m. for their Annual Fall Area Rally. After pnel discussions, skits an da workshop, headed by Mrs. Mickie Hanson, a delicious hot turkey buffet was served. Following the dinner, Mrs. Paul Ernst, District ALCW President, introduced the guest speaker, Pev. Hushagen. Rev. Hushagen is Pastor of the new Lutheran Church in Sandy, Utah! Mrs. Emil Swanson, ALCW Conference President, was also in attendance.
