Show Thursday, November 2, 1961 THE VALLEY VIEW NEWS Wasatch School Wallops Kearns Opponents Wasatch traveled to Kearns, Oct. 26, fo rthe third volleyball game of the year. The duelling court was the Kearns Jr. High Gym. The game started out with the Kearns squad taking the lead 5--0 in the first few minutes. Wasatch battled back until the score was 6-After each team had exchanged first place, Wasatch pulled ahead 4 at the half. The beginning seconds of the second half found the Panthers with a lost serve. Then Wasatch scored six points for the lead. The Panthers fought back, valiantly, but in vain. Wasatch ended the game at 19-2but Kearns really showed action and the student body went wild. Just a few bad breaks lost the game for Kearns Jr. High. Leading the cheers were Sherri 8. 11-1- 8, Whittle, Connie Jensen, Susan Peterson, Susan Bruse, Susan Andrews and Diane Kaye. During the half-tim- e marching and formation drills were being executed by the K.HLCos. This is a colorful dream consisting of approximately 55 girls. The team was organized less than a month ago. It has been decided that since there are many community groups planning activities for Halloween, there will be no dance this year.
