Huffman from San Diego, California, are visiting with Mr. Huffmans mother, Mrs. Vera Huffman of Kearns, during part of their one month leave from the Navy. Mr. Huffman, who is an Aviation Electronic Technician Airman, and his wife, Ethyl, also plan to stop in Denver enroute to Memphis, where they will visit with Mrs. Huffmans parents and Mr. Huffmans brother, Charles, who is attending school there. The Kearns Garden Club will meet Thursday, March 9, at 8 p.m. in Woolworths Lounge. Speaker for the evening will be Mrs. A. L. Stenberg, who will discuss What and How Shall I Plant This Year? Kearns residents participating in the program will be Mrs. Harolc Rushton, who will assist with floral arrangement demonstration Tuesday afternoon, and Mrs. Walter O. Wednesday night, the Kearns Green Thumbers will be with another club. Serving in this capacity will be Mr. and Mrs Thurlyn Christensen, Mr. and Mrs R. L. Monger, Mr. and Mrs. Harolc Rushton, and Mr. Joe Morris. Flower show schedule chairman is Mrs. Walter O. Bostwick. If anyone wishes a flower show schedule they may obtain one' from Mrs. Bostwick or Bob Moore. The Gardener of the Year Award will be presented during the Festival.
