Up until this year the classes have been held just for boys, but this year enough interest was apparent among the girls to start classes for them. There are 42 girls and 90 boys in this sesison. The sesison lasts 10 weeks and there is a session in the Fall, Winter and Spring. Mr. Cook resides at 1223 W. 4800 South. He is the father of six children, all of whom have taken swimming in his classes. Mr. Turner covered the present outbreak of the Hepatitis in the surrounding and Kearns area. He stressed the importance of sanitation and advised the condition was serious and for all persons living in this area to take special precautions in sanitation. Last week Commissioner Buck Brady gave an interesting talk on Juvenile Delinquency. Most of our troubles come from our youth not getting proper guidance. The' Commissioner complimented the Kiwanis Club for their interest in organizing a Boys Club. He stated, A club for boys should be run by the boys themselves. He has been in the service for 6 months. Since then, he has worked for the Purity Biscuit Company. .His father works for the Utah Oil Refinery. The family moved into the Granger community only a year and 4 months ago. He has two sister Sandy, who is a junior at Granger High School and Tamra Lynn (Tammy). On March 12, he will hold his Farewell and Testimonial at the North Jordan Ward at 3 p.m. He too, will enter the mission home on the 20th and depart for his mission on the 27th of March.
