Dairy: The butter market this week turned to a weaker position compared with the mixed situation apparent last week. A principal feature in the decline was the slow moving of consumer demand and less aggressive speculative interest. Cheese markets gained further strength this week. Much of the strength which was prevalent was attributed to the consummation of British contracts. Supplies were light and prices were closely maintained to asking figures. Fluid milk markets ruled steady to firmer and manufacturing demand was intensified as tiroduction declined.
