Immediately after her auspicious New York !Introduction she was immediate ly engaged lor the Chicago and San Francisco operas where her roles have included Amneris in "Aida," Azucena in "Il Trove-tore- ," 1.11rka in "The Masked Ball," Nancy in 'Martha," and Hansel in "Hansel and Gretel." Beside, her opera work, the young singing star has made a coast to coast hit for concert and radio work. She has been soloist with many of the great symphony orchestras including the New York Philharmonic-Sym- -, phony, the Boston Symphony, and the National Symphony in Baltimore and Washington D. C. She came to America in 1938 after scoring atic etas at the famous Neues Deutsches Theater in Prague and other notable continental opera houses.
