Bigelow, acting state health commissioner. said today. Included are the Utah Hot Springs on US-9- 1 north of Ogden and Rainbow Gardens, formerly El Monte, in the mouth of Ogden Canyon. Both were among a number of pools in the Ogden area and in Salt Lake City found to be in surveys conducted by the department's sanitation division under Lynn M. Thatcher. Generally, all operators of swimming pools over the state are being advised through an official letter that they must meet new pool licensing provisions or face similar action, Dr. Bigelow said. Hippach, 28, Pleasant Grove, pilot of the plane, and Hoyt Baxter, 25, of Springville, his passenger, were released to their homes last night after being treated for their injuries. Hippach suffered a slight brain concussion and cuts and received cuts and bruises. Both men walked away from the crash to the side of the road. A party of hunters who met the fliers near the road took them to a Springville physician for treatment. Leland Carter and R. E. Hope of Provo, hunters in that area who saw the crash. told Sheriff Theron H. Hall that the wings of the plane were knocked off. Airport officials have not released a full report of the damages to the craft. Spanish Fork Flying Service officials, owners of the plane, two-seat- post-morte- m rd said that although they were not sure what happened, evi- dently Hippach flew into a ravine and got ad low he was unable to, fly out. Along with good harvesting weather, there has been ample moisture and warm weather to benefit fall grain and winter ranges. Sugar beets have been harvested in Cache, Morgan and northern Sanpete Counties. The harvest is slowed up by a shortage of beet toppers in Weber, Box Elder, Salt Lake, Sevier, Millard. and Iron Counties. However, the long growing season has added to the tonnage of beets and the harvest is more than half completed in all important growing areas.
