Some girls prove scholarly, others lean toward the domestic, but for Nanette it has always been sports. She proved herself proficient back in grade school when she was always on the winning side. And now as a physical education instructor, she combines a hobby and a job with the greatest of ease. THIRD YEAR This is' Nanette's third year teaching at the university, and it would be hard to find any-on- e more enthusiastic about her work. In the fall she teaches swimming; come winter and she's on the slopes with the ski team, while spring for Nanette means tennis and golf. A Los Angeles native, she lives at 378 Thirteenth East St. in Salt Lake during the school year. Vacations find her back in California doing all sorts of exciting things. Just because she hails from California, however, doesn't mean that Nanette doesn't endorse Utah skiing. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin. she taught swimming for a year at the University of New Mexico. Then she imoved on to..the University of 1California at Los Angeles, where she got her masters' degree. 53VDDIENG FAVORITE Though it's a difficult choice, Nanette admits that her favorite sport is swimming. She's done some professional swimming during the summers, once with the Frank Foster aquacade in Las Vegas and another time in a swimming show starring Esther Williams. This summer she's hoping to do some professional swimming in Hawaii. Perhaps you've heard of Nanette this year at the university as Spur sponsor and the ski team sponsor. However, as of January, she joined the Broken Bones Club and her career was interrupted for a while.
