Being" into the- lives of all Americans. The opinion was delivered in ujaholding the constitutionality of a released time program In the New York City Schools in which pupils may be freed from. classes one hour weekly for re- from ligious instruction away school property. The opinion differentiated from a previous decision which declared unconstitutional an effort,--to teach religion in the classroom as was being done in a Champaign, Ill., public school. The decision is of particular interest to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints because of jhe system of seminary instruction given to students on a part time basis oft of the campus at many high schools of Utah and surrounding states. But of equal significance is that part of the opinion In which the Supreme Court, by a 3 decision, upholds the importance of , religion in the American way of life. - , r -- - - . - 8-- ,, ..,:,,,,-,,,,,- "WE ARE A RELIGIOUS 'people whose institutions presuppose a Supreme Being," the opinion, which was writlen by Justice William O.
