Next, think of Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1817, a land of sagebrush, parched and dry, with a sea of salt in the distance. Then look at Utah of 1937. What has built these two great institutions as they are today, Utah and America? The industry of the people? een a potent factor. High itleah? Like.. rtant part. Natural stealth? Yes. But what else contributed? FREEDOM AND LIBERTY ! Endowed with freedom to grow and de. relop, these early Americans and Utah pioneers, taking adr4;nrptan gt eof their natural u o ungdriui dp commonwealths, great areas, great industries, great citiesa great civilization.
