He also consults and develops marketing and communication strategies for a Ian Troost is a sophomore marketing major from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Troost is a member of the mens soccer team as well as being the Inter Club Council president. He prides himself in spreading involvement throughout the entire campus. As a first-yestudent, Troost initiated the reinstatement of the Holiday Club on campus, which is a club about promoting cheer and festive spirit for a variety of different holidays. ' " ' The day of Ian Troost is long but fulfilling as he tries to get students involved on campus. - local mortgage company, Integrity First Lending. Curtis wakes up and trie! to squeeze in a Jt i I 30-min- workout. 5:30 a.m. Curtis jumps in the shower before he eats breakfast. 6:30-7:- 45 a.m. He starts working on emails before he wake up his kids. 8 a.m. Curtis then brushes the kids teeth, makes breakfast and gets them dressed. 8:45 a.m. After, he drops his two oldest kids off at school. 9 a.m. Curtis drives back home to make sure his wife has everything she needs before he heads to campus to start his day as a professor. 9:45 a.m. Curtis arrives in his office to prepare for the lesson he is going to cover, print out any handouts, power points or activities. He also spend time reading the chapter due for that class period. If I get time, I do research, a paper presentation, consulting and grading. p.m. Curtis starts teaching business and professional writing. p.m. He heads back to his office to finish emails before he drives 6:40 a.m. Ians alarms goes off, he rolls out of bed, puts on his soccer uniform and heads to Dumke Field to start his day with the mens soccer team for conditioning practice. 7- -8 a.m. Conditioning practice. 8:10 a.m. Practice is over and Ian gets on his bike and heads back to his room at The Draw to munch his favorite breakfast, a Thomas English muffin with peanut butter, before he heads back to sleep. 8:45 a.m. Round two of alarms go off and Ian starts packing his bag for soccer practice in the afternoon and collects his books, ready to head to his first class of the day. Ian attends acting class in Jewett. Afterward, he walks 10 a.m.-No- on over to the ASWC Office for his office hours to step into his role as the president of the Inter Club Council. Here, he attends meetings and eats lunch. Noon-- 2 p.m. After two hours of work helping students to get involved through clubs; Ian heads to his psychology class. p.m. After psychology class, Ian heads to the locker room to get ready for the second soccer practice of the day. p.m. Ian runs off the field and back to the classroom to catch his business of quantitative methods class. 5:15-5:- 30 p.m. After class, he heads to the cafeteria to grab a coffee before his last class of the day. 5:30-7:- 20 p.m. With the final stretch within reach, Ian sits in his microeconomics class. 8 p.m. He heads back to his office once more to attend an ASWC meeting and manage a few other ICC related tasks. Midnight Finally, Ian brushes his teeth and heads to bed. co-writ- 2-3- :50 4-5:- 30 back home to his family. 6:30- -7 p.m. Curtis arrives home and eats dinner with his wife and his four kids after a long day at work. 7- -8 p.m. Curtis is heavily involved with his church community where he works with the youth ages 12-- 18 for an hour before he heads back home. 9 p.m. He comes back home to help the kids with homework before he make them go to bed. 10 p.m. Curtis tries to relax and watch TV before he heads to bed. 10:30 p.m. Curtis sets his alarm for 5:00 a.m. the next day, to do it all over 2-3- :30 4-5- 9-- again. :15 9 y 7?
