The Westminster College Concierge Desk is putting together a local business directory and called on Westminster students to design a cover. The following is the schedule for June 3: 1 p.m. the graduates are to be in the assembly area which will be held in the E raGflaDatSdsini The directory will be organized by location. Businesses from the areas of 1500 East and 1500 South, Downtown and 900 South and 900 East will be featured in the directory. Asia Ferrin, concierge coordinator, said, All the businesses were really sup Sug-arhous- e, portive and interested in being in the directory. The purpose of the directory is to inform students about some of the smaller local businesses around Westminsters campus, with the hopes that students will be more aware of local places and things to do. It is also a way to form a relationship with the local businesses; it will help students support them; and they in turn will support Westminster The cover is something Ferrin hopes students will be creative and have fun with. However, she said, We do want it to relate to what the business directory is, and reflect that. The competition -- was open to all art forms. Ferrin hopes to have the directories printed during May and plans to hand them out to students then. For students who wont be around during May Term, they will also be available at the concierge desk during the fall semester for all students to pick up. |
