Show Westminster College GRUM By Lucas Hill Staff Writer The Anne Newman Sutton Weeks poetry series continued March 7th, this j time with poetry readings by Lance Larsen and Geraldine Connoly. This was the fifth Weeks reading of the 1999-200- 0 academic year, which is rovided for by a grant rom Anne Newman Sutton Weeks, a philanthropist and good friend of Westminster. The readings were in the evening and during the middle of the week, and while Nunemaker Place was still quite 7, The Anne Newman Sutton Weeks poetry series continued March this time with poetry left Lance Larsen (above readings by photo) and Geraldine Connoly (above right photo). This was the first time this year that two poets have shared the spotlight for a reading. V. crowded, attendance was lower than at past readings this year. He is currently a professor of English at Brigham Young University ana teaches poetry classes there. Larsen's current book, Erasable Walls, is his first, published in 1998. Larsen is a member of the Mormon Church. Earlier in his life, Larsen served a mission in Bolivia, and many of his poems relate the experiences he has had, the people he has met and the depth of the culture of the country. One of the poems he read, in fact, describes the beautiful architecture of a city square in La Paz, the capital of Bolivia.
