Most would much rather stay in school for another month and then be able to leave for a week because thats the time when almost everyone gets stressed out and wants a break. Is spring break at the end of February a way to torture us, or is it just so that the people who enjoy skiing can go and ski for a whole nine days without calling in sick and without missing any classes? You have to wonder about these things every once in a while. We cant even call this little break we just had a spring break because in case you havent noticed, it isnt even spring yet. In fact, we still have a month before the calendar says that it is spring, and technically we have two months before it is even warm enough to be spring. Why cant we have spring break at the same time as all the other colleges in the United States? Sure we will only have a month of school left instead of two, but no one would be quite so burnt out and everyone would probably be much happier. My semester break was not even close to exciting. I got to pack up my room and catch up on all of my television snows for the week because I didnt have any friends to visit with, or a car to go visiting in for that matter. I also got to bond with my mom and my grandparents. It was really quite nice, but I think that I would have enjoyed it more if I would have had someone to do things with, and sunshine to do them in. I did get to relax, so maybe that is why Westminster College chooses to have a break before spring. I guess we will never know, fc has been said that art is a matter of taste. We agree.
