Show Campus Forum 4 September 21, 1993 Westminster Group Gets Dose Of Culture spirituality. The 1993 Utah Shakespearean Festival, June 28 through September 4, was atlcnclcd by a group of 74 students, alumni and friends of Westminster. In this, the 32nd year of the festival in Cedar City, patrons were treated to impish fairies, warring kings and queens, a misanthrope, a tragic king, a family of actors folks of a small town. e and the This season was dubbed Midsummer Magic due to the headliner Midsummer Nights Dream, a perennial favorite around the globe. The bumbling, bickering and bedlam in this play ends happily with all the various couples reconciled. This rollicking comedy is in sharp contrast with Richard II , the story of a tragic cr paihetic king (depending on your view point) who surrenders his crown. Timon of Athens, a dark comedy of indulgence and extravagance, has only been performed an estimated seventy times and offered the Westminster group a unique expo ricnce.
