According to Yancey the organization which was once strong at Westminster became inactive because the advisor left and student interest waned. Yancey, who serves on the FBLA-Ph- i Beta Lambda state conference media staff, wassurprised that Westminster didnt have a chapter. Almost every college and junior college in the state is involved with the organization except Westminster, and we are a business school, Yancey said. Yancey and four other business students along with advisor, Jean Beaulieu, are working to recruit students and initiate monthly meetings. Their motto is Gain the competitive edge, and they plan to begin operating during spring semester with the first meeting during the third week of January.
