The bride was dressed in a floor length white dress brocades with flowers down the front and with two panels flowing to the floor from the shoulders. She carried a bouquet of red and white carnations, and had a shoulder length viel. The couple were married by Bishop Jay Sitterud. Mrs. Helen Brown had her Thanksgiving dinner a few weeks early because her son Miles and wife Jerry leave Thursday. Miles is home for a two week visit from the service, and will be stationed in Rhode Island for the Thanksgiving holiday. His wifes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Biddinger and two of her sisters were also present at the dinner. Jerry will remain in Price and finish her schooling in cosmotology at Carbon College. She plans to return with Miles when he comes home for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. TTieo LeRoy received word their Clayton Anderson, underwent surgery at the St. Marks hospital last week. Mrs. Mabel Jones is home from surgery in the L.D.S. hospital. She is much improved. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Potter made a trip to Salt Lake Friday morning where Diane reported to the St. Marks hospital to undergo some tests. Boyd went in Sunday and brought her home. American The Legion Auxilary held their meeting Wednesday evening at the hall. It is that time Legion-lio- n when the drive for gifts for the veterans are to be mailed by the 15th of November. Anyone wanting to donate any new thing that can be sent to the hospital for the veterans to pick out and send to their immediate family for Christmas take it to the home of Famie Baxter. All members please bring in your donations. If youd rather give money that will be excepted, too. James Jensen was injured Tuesday morning in a mine. A jar k hammer hit him in the head necessitating several stitches at the Carbon hospital. He was kept in the hospital for observation. He is the son of Barney and Jane Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corgiat are ptoud grandparents of a baby Ixiy born to their daughter Darlene and David West in Vancouver, Washington. Jack and Vonda left last Monday to be with them when the little bundle ai rived. A personal shower was held for Hope Elaine Jensen by Joan .Shannon, Ixiretta Allred and Mat ie Fox ag the home of Joan Shannon, Thursday evening. Those present were: Edna Jones, Elen Taylor, Helen Winder, Edna Fish, Norma Majors, Terri Fox, Debbie Bell, Connie Erickson, Sharree Grinunett, Phyllis Jensen, Eva Jensen, Dorring Christensen, Ann Jensen, Ella Mae Richards, Elbe Jensen, Jody Erickson, Sandy Tucker, Francy IxiRoy and Kathy Ewell. Games were played and prizes given, refreshments served and Hope opened her gifts. She modeled all of them. A wedding reception was held son-in-la- the Christmas party, and also if you have anything such as salt and pepper shakers, plates, sauce dishes, cups, anything that can be used in the kitchen please bring it. Joyce, their daughter spent the weekend with her folks from Utah State University in Logan. She returned Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Seeley are the proud parents of a baby boy born November 2 at the Utah Valley hospital in Provo. He weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces. Judy came home Saturday afternoon. The new boy has a brother Lloyd and a sister Sherrilynn. He will be called Daryl Todd. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. Drew Chick Jr. of Denver, Colorado and Mr. and Mrs. Drannon Seeley of Huntington. Babies blessed in the First Ward Sacrament meeting Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Cole, son, Lynn Edward named by his father, and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Gilbert, a son named Stase Duane Gilbert, named by his father. The Pheasant hunt banquet will be held in the cultural hall by both wards, Saturday evening, November 11. Tickets will be sold by the plate or for the family. Everyone is invited to attend. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights are scheduled for the annual play put on at the Emery County High School. This year it will be Fiddler on the Roof. It will start each night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be taken at the door. Troy Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Christensen, was baptized and confirmed a member of the L.D.S. Church.
