Show . ft ic THE Thursday, November 27, 1958 SUN-ADVOCA- Sunnyside Relief Society Stages Annual Fund Drive The Sunnyside LDS Relief Society held its annual bazaar Friday November 14, at 5 p.m. in the recreation room the the chapel. From the kitchen the ladies sold barba-que- d hamburgers, pie and root beer. There was a food sale, rummage sale and sewing and fancy work of all kinds. A large crowd was there and the Relief Society ladies were very happy about the success of their bazaar and want to thank every one in their organization and out of it who help- ysw v r$ ' Saturday! Mrs. Lois Andrews, who was the chair man, was helped by Mrs. Mary Stevenson, Mrs. Jennie Chandler, Mrs. Lucille Jensen and Mrs. Janet Sorensen. Mrs. Nina Jensen arranged the tables very attractively with flowers and horns of plenty. The opening prayer and blessing on the food was given by E. W. Holbrook. After dinner Mr. and Mrs. John Preston, Jr., had arranged for the following program: A tap dance by Debbie Johnson and Janice and Bill Poore, a vocal solo by Miss Loretta McCourt and her accompanist was Mrs. Grace Poulsen, Ross Poore, Jr., played an accordian solo; a reading by Mrs. Avona Blackburn; Karen and Gail Brady sang two songs and were accompanied by Miss Avona Blackburn for one and Mrs. Fannie Larson for the other one; Loren Cullum of Sunnyside and Miss Lelia Perkins and Mrs. Leland Hanson, both of Dragerton, played two musical selections. Blair Poul sen gave the closing prayer. Mrs. Mary Stevenson, Mrs. Vi Thompson and Mrs. Louie Allred attended their 500 card club Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Hilma Fox in Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Jeffs and L. Mark spent the week end in Manti visiting her mother, Mrs. Ethel Stevenson. Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Boren moved into their own home in Dragerton last week end. They have lived in Sunnyside for the past four years. Mrs. George Fergerson, Sr., was taken to a Salt Lake City hospital last week end. She is to have a major operation Tuesday, No vember 25. Her husband and daughter, Mrs. Jerry Vigil, accompanied her. Two special cars were added to the Denver and Rio Grande train Thursday evening, November 20, to take more than 80 young people and their chaperones to Denver for the convention of the Catholic Youth Organization. They stayed until Sunday evening and arrived back in Price early Monday morning. The representatives from Sunnyside were Bob Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Murphy; Gene Farlaino, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Farlaino; Lucille daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Bonaquisto, and Rosemary Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Miller.
