Show Holiday on Ice Ready For Annual State Fair The fun and songs of Frank Baums whimsical fantasy, The Wizard of Oz", will come to life at the Utah State Fair when Holiday on Ice brings its 14th annual edition to the Fair Grounds Coliseum for a run during Fair week in Salt Lake City, September 12 through September 21. Evening performances will be at 8 :30 p.m. Matinees September 13, 14, 17 and 21 at 2:30 p.m. Other matinees will be Friday, September 19, at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 20, at 1 :00 and 5 :00 p.m. Margaret Field, newcomer to Holiday on Ice and the Fair; will be featured as "Dorothy, the role made famous by Judy Garland in the MGM picture. Miss Field was formerly starred with other ice shows in England. She has played Snow White and other roles in the famous London Christmas pantomines. Youll follow "The Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy, the the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion into the derful Land of Oz. Youll meet the Wizard, the Good Witch, the evil Witch, Winkies, Munchkins, Soldiers and all the characters of the enchanting "Wizard of Oz. To sterophonic sound youll whistle "Over the Rainbow" The Merry Old Land of Oz, If I Only Had a Brain, Ding Dong, seven-matin- Tin-Ma- n, Win-tergre- Open House Fete Sunday to Honor One Of Carbon Countys Oldest Residents The Witch Dead and the other lilting melodies you remember from the movie and your record player.
